What’s Success For You?

Saturday I got to spend time with one of my favorite people, Kevin Colon, who happens to be a church planter. He told me the first question he asks every church planter is, “What are you after? What’s success for you?”

That is the question. Not just for church planters, it could be posed to you as employee, empoyer, spouse, parent, Little League coach, anything… Just as a person. What are you after? What’s success for you?

For church planters, if you can’t answer that question, you’re not yet ready to start. If you don’t have an answer, you don’t have a target to shoot at.

So what’s success for you? And a good follow-up question: Does your answer sound like something God would agree with?
