God Gives A Damn

When we moved here to start Verve we interviewed hundreds of people to ask them about life in Las Vegas.  One of things we heard repeatedly was, “No one in this town gives a damn about you. Everyone here is just out for themselves. No one cares.”  We explained to people that we did, that was why we moved here, why we were starting a church for them. Hopefully that was encouraging. But that’s not what matters most.

Last week we put up two billboards and one moving billboard here in Vegas that say:  www.GodGivesADamn.org.  That’s what matters most.  That there really is a God, who really loves us, and that He can really make a difference in our lives.

The billboard may be a bit provocative, but that’s not the point.  The point is to let people know: You are not alone.  You are loved.  There is hope.
