Calling Cautions (3)
Just did a little blog series on discovering your calling.
Thought it only fair to also do a short series with some cautions on your calling…
When we start to discover our calling, part of the problem is that typically we only start to discover our calling. What I mean is that God doesn’t give us a complete picture. Last time I mentioned Abraham – God called Abraham to leave his home and go, but didn’t tell him where he was going! That’s a very incomplete picture! How do you GPS that one?
In the same way, God may tell you how to get moving towards your calling, without showing you where the trip is going to take you. Why? I don’t know, but maybe because then it takes faith, and because it requires us to stay dependent on God.
