Researchers did a study at a grocery store near San Francisco. They set up a table on two consecutive Saturdays with jams. One week 6 jams, the other 24 kinds of jam. More people stopped to look when there were more types. However, significantly more jam was actually purchased when there were fewer options to choose from.
