We want to live sacrificial lives, but we tend to be selfish creatures. We want to live deep lives, but more often we find ourselves skimming life’s surface. We want beautiful lives, but there’s a lot of ugliness inside of us. We want holy lives, but we’re pretty sinful. We want adventurous lives, but we’re too apathetic. It’s tough. But you can picture something different, can’t you?
