There’s A Secret

Here’s an excerpt from my new book,
Renegade: Your Faith Isn’t Meant To Be Safe.

The fact that there are people who are like sheep without a shepherd makes Jesus sick. It makes renegades sick as well. Jesus left heaven and went into the darkness to seek and save God’s lost children. Renegades leave their comfort zones to be God’s light in dark places, in hopes of returning God’s kids to his arms. That sounds right. We all probably agree with it. But the truth is that it rarely happens. Most Christians aren’t engaging those outside the faith. In fact, it’s incredibly rare for a Christian to actually help someone far from God get close to God. So how do we do it? How do we do it in a way that’s effective? How do we do it in a way that doesn’t freak out people who are far from God? There’s a secret.
