Not All Good 2: Lonely On Line One

Last week my wife called me in the middle of the day.

“Vince, I hate this grocery store.”
“What grocery store?”
“I am just so lonely…” (insert sniffling sounds here)

The funny thing is that we have people who moved to be a part of this, so it’s not like we don’t know anyone here. But sometimes it’s not what you have, it’s what you don’t have anymore. We lived in Virginia Beach for about twelve years. We had a ton of friends (some of whom we had been developing relationships with for eight, ten, twelve years), we had our small group, we had a church where everyone knew us, we even had our favorite grocery store.

Moving to a new place to start a new church is lonely … but worth it.
