Launch Team Topics
Yesterday I shared what we do at our Launch Team Meetings and I mentioned that most of the nights we’ve had a vision casting segment or teaching time. So maybe you asked the question, “Vince, what exactly are you talking about during those times? I need know! You must tell me. If you don’t tell me, I vow that I will live long enough to dance (or pee) on your grave, Antonucci!”
Okay, fine, cool down Mr. Anger Problems. I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you. So here are some of the topics we’ve covered:
- Why and how we will be a church that focuses on people who are far from God.
- Pursuing God and developing intimacy with Him
- Identifying your G.P.S. (Gifts, Passion, and Suffering) to understand how God wants you to serve.
- Our personality types (using the Myers Briggs temperament types).
- How to share your faith
- How God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble, so we need to eradicate any pride in us, individually or as a group.
- What kind of groups we’re going to have, and why.
- Brainstorming outreach and community service ideas.
- The importance of purity/holiness. How if we’re not different from the other people here in Vegas, they won’t be interested in what we have.
- The principles we will use to guide us in planning out and executing our worship services.
- Spiritual warfare.
