Pro Sports & The Gospels

NFL Replay is perhaps the best idea of the last 20 years. Have you seen it? It’s on NFL Network, and they show an entire football game from Sunday, in just one hour. They cut out everything but the plays. If somehow you could watch it without already knowing who won, I’d have to marry the person who came up with it.

So, to make this spiritual (which I don’t feel a need to do, but it may be fun), let me compare professional sports to the gospels:

Baseball = Book of Matthew
Football = Book of Mark (Which, by the way, is why NFL Replay works.)
Hockey = Book of Luke
Basketball = Book of John

What do you think? Am I wrong? Right? Why?
