Yes, I admit it. I like cooking shows. Well, I like competitive cooking shows. If there’s cooking and a winner and a loser, I’ll watch it. I like a bunch: Chopped, Throwdown, Iron Chef. But my favorite is Top Chef.
Top Chef Masters is not as good as Top Chef, but it’s good.
Here’s the funny thing about me liking cooking shows: I consider food to be future poop. If you tell me you’ll take me to some great steak restaurant or McDonalds, I’ll say, “Well, either way it’s future poop, so might as well save money.”
So why do I like cooking shows? Because if you’re good enough it’s art, not just food. And art is not future poop. (Well, unless you eat it.)
