With the Academy Awards this week, I thought I’d have the audacity to tell you who should win if they gave acting awards for all the movies (well, all the movies I’ve seen and can remember) from 1980 to 2010.  This time, the Best Actress:

Honorable Mention:  Hillary Swank in Million Dollar Baby, Juliet Binoche in Chocolat, Jodie Foster in The Accused

Nominated: Julianne Moore in Far From Heaven, Gwyneth Paltrow in Shakespeare In Love, Nicole Kidman in The Hours, Jodie Foster in The Silence of the Lambs, Katherine Hepburn in On Golden Pond


The Winner: Frances McDormand, in Fargo
