I think awhile back I recommended a short film series called Not A Fan, which is designed to be a small group curriculum type of deal.
Well, the book Not A Fan has now come out, and it is good. The idea is that Jesus doesn’t want fans, He wants followers. He doesn’t want people who think He’s cool and are excited to be associated with Him. He wants people who think He’s Lord and are committed to doing whatever He asks. Jesus doesn’t want to be famous. He wants to be worshiped.
Full disclosure: I am friends with the author, Kyle Idleman. But it makes me even more impressed with the book, because I know that Kyle is the real deal. And he has been a great friend to me, and to Verve.
What’s a book that you’d recommend?
