Vince Recommends…

Something odd about me:  I LOVE books, can’t help buying them even if I want to, and I LOVE to read, but I don’t read as much as I’d like. And thus I have stacks of unread books. But a couple of months ago our family went to “No Tech Tuesdays” where we’re not allowed to watch TV, play video games, etc., and it’s given me more time to read. Giddyup.

One of the books I’ve read on my Tuesday nights is The Gospel According to Jesus by Chris Seay. I knew Chris a little some years ago, and was always totally impressed that he was one of the more sincere and shepherding guys I’d met. And that comes out in this book.

Chris writes about how most Christians don’t truly understand the gospel, and therefore can’t really live out what it fully means to follow Jesus. It’s a theological kind of book, but not too deep or difficult to read. Pick it up, and read it on a Tuesday night.
