But Can You Do It Sitting Down?

So some of you know that I’m planning on doing stand-up comedy at open mic nights in Vegas. To be clear: I am not doing this to start a new career. I am doing it to try and develop relationships. As a newcomer in a city, and as someone who believes I have something everyone needs, I need to get myself around other people.

Also: I am not doing this to be amazing at it. I just hope to be good enough to not embarrass myself or turn off the other comedians.

So … tonight in Austin I’m planning on going on stage for the first time. (Gulp!) It’s a local place that has open mic night on Mondays. I figured it’d be good to have my first time be not in Vegas, in case I blow it. I’ve got my “set” written, so we’ll see it how it goes…
